A Criminologist and Security Expert, Comrade Opaluwa Eleojo has called on the Federal Government and the Minister of FCT, Barr Nyesom Wike to as a matter of urgency commence the construction of the Nyanya/Mararaba boundary road.
The Security Expert hinted that due to neglect, the boundary road has become one of the easiest route for criminals to access and exit the Federal Capital Territory without notice.

“URGENT NEED TO CONSTRUCT THE BOUNDARY ROAD IN NYANYA
In as much as I applaud the effort of the FCT Administration on the construction/ Rehabilitation of 30KM of roads spreading across the six (6) Area councils, I wish to draw the attention of the FCT Administration to the neglected boundary roads in Nyanya, which has become a major black spot for criminals to operate very freely without hindrances.
Motor vehicle owners living in those areas groan due to the constant damage to the vehicles, especially the wheels, due to the bad nature of these roads.
Aside the aforementioned negative effects of the continuous neglect of these roads, the health hazard and it’s impact on the residents living along this route cannot be overstated.
Few years ago, it took the Intervention of the Dunamis Church to construct about 2km of road with asphalt overlay to ease the burden of residents in that location, I believe the government can take it up from there.
I therefore call on the FCT Administration to quickly approve contract for the construction of the road to ease the burden of residents in the area.
It should also be taken into account always, that the primary responsibility of government is the welfare and security of its citizens.
Residents of the boundary community of Nyanya are tax payers and deserve the care of government.
